We are a small family run true free range farm. We have less than 120 hens per hectare. Our girls roam freely all day with our two beautiful Maremmas and an alpaca to protect them from predators.
We believe to get the best quality eggs you need to give your hens plenty of room to roam and let them do what hens do naturally. We don’t feed any food scraps to the girls as we let them forage and they thrive on this.

Hendersons Lane is a small farm based in Bungaree and Buninyong focussing on grass-fed, heritage breed beef and lamb
We grow and produce meat the old-fashioned way – grass fed, heritage breeds, extended aging and with a traceable link directly back to the farmer. Our cattle are from the Dexter breed, a small Irish cattle breed that gives fine-grained marbled beef and a really beefy taste. The Dexter is the ultimate slow-food, taking 2-3 years to mature. The smaller size and slow growing characteristics of the breed means that it is not very common on farms or in shops, due to the modern focus on bigger cuts and fast growing animals rather than eating quality. Our lamb breed will depend on season, ranging from our home-bred Wiltshire Horn to Western District Prime Lamb. All our lamb is grass-fed and grass finished.
